ChatGPT training for business: Get more from the ChatGPT you already use. On your own work.
Most small businesses already have ChatGPT open somewhere. I help owners and small teams turn that into dependable results: the right settings, better instructions and a repeatable method for weekly jobs.

When ChatGPT is open every day but the workload hasn't changed
That's the usual starting point. Some answers are great, some are generic, and every person in the team uses it differently. The difference between those results is rarely the tool. It's the context you give it, how clearly the task is set and whether anyone checks the output before it goes out.
I use ChatGPT and Claude in my own work and I've spent nearly a decade deciding what's worth doing first in search and on websites. That habit carries over: we start with a real task, work out what good looks like, then make ChatGPT produce it consistently.
This isn't a coding course or an introduction to how AI works. It's practical training for people who want ChatGPT to save them real time.
What a ChatGPT training session covers
The mix depends on where you're starting. Most sessions cover these, always on a real task from your business.
- 01 The right settings firstChecking your plan and data settings, including whether your chats can be used to train models, and agreeing what should never go into it.
- 02 Instructions that workWriting a brief ChatGPT can follow: the task, the audience, examples of good work and what to avoid.
- 03 One real task, start to finishWe pick something you do every week, such as quotes, customer replies, proposals, content briefs or report summaries, and build a method for it.
- 04 Custom GPTs and saved contextWhere a job repeats, turning the method into a custom GPT or saved instructions so the team doesn't start from scratch each time.
- 05 Checking the outputWhat to verify every time and where ChatGPT tends to go wrong, so the results are something you can put your name to.
1:1, small teams, in person or remote
1:1 sessions
For an owner who wants to use ChatGPT well on their own work, at their own pace, with a method they can use straight away.
Small team sessions
For a few people doing similar work. Everyone practises on real tasks, and the team leaves with shared instructions and a consistent way of checking output.
In person or remote
I'll come to you anywhere in Greater Manchester, or we can run the session over a video call wherever you are. Location doesn't need to be a barrier.
Not sure it's the right tool?
For some work, especially long documents and jobs that need a lot of background, Claude can be the better fit. I'll say so if I think it is. I also offer Claude training for business, and if the bigger question is which task to start with, my practical AI help for small businesses starts there instead.
How to start: a free 20-minute call
No polished brief, no sales pitch. Just one real task and an honest answer about what would help.
- 01
Free 20-minute call
Bring the job you'd most like ChatGPT to help with, or tell me where it keeps letting you down. We look at a recent example together and you leave with one practical next step, whether or not we work together.
- 02
A paid session, if it helps
If more help makes sense, I'll suggest a 1:1 or small team session built around that task, in person in Greater Manchester or remote. The scope and price are agreed before anything is booked.
- 03
Ongoing help only if it earns it
Follow-up sessions only where there's a repeating job worth supporting. No long-term contracts.
ChatGPT training questions
What does ChatGPT training for business include?
Checking your settings and data rules, writing instructions ChatGPT can follow, building a repeatable method for one real task and checking the output. Where a job repeats, we turn it into a custom GPT or saved instructions.
Is our business data safe in ChatGPT?
It depends on your plan and settings, so that's the first thing we check. We'll also agree what shouldn't go into ChatGPT at all, such as customer personal data, unless your plan and your own policies allow it.
Is the training 1:1 or for teams?
Either. 1:1 suits an owner learning on their own work. Small team sessions suit a few people who do similar work and want a shared, consistent way of using ChatGPT.
Do you train in person?
Yes, anywhere in Greater Manchester. I also run sessions remotely over video for businesses elsewhere in the UK and abroad.
How much does ChatGPT training cost?
It depends on the format, the number of people and the preparation the task needs. Tell me what you're after and I'll suggest a format and a price before anything is booked.
Should we use ChatGPT or Claude?
Both are capable. If your team already pays for ChatGPT, getting good at it is usually the quickest win. For some jobs Claude suits better, and I'll give you a straight answer for your situation.
Bring the task you'd most like ChatGPT to help with.
Tell me who'd be in the session, how you use ChatGPT now and where it falls short. I'll suggest a format and a price before anything is booked.
